Last night I was honoured host the 18th annual Good Shepherd Harvest Dinner at Carmen’s on the mountain.
As per usual PJ and crew had the place looking amazing and tasting great for the 800 plus in attendance.
As we tread through our busy lives sometimes we forget not only those who are less fortunate but also those who work so hard to help them.
The great organizations in Hamilton like Good Shepherd that work tirelessly every day to make life a little better for those who feel there is no hope.
They show compassion and empathy.
They take time to help, in a small way, that generates many times the return.
They feel a genuine joy from helping someone, perhaps like someone may have helped them.
I was reminded last night I have been Mcing this event for ten years.
Its great community minded people like Cathy Wellwood and Brother Richard from Good Shepherd, and Ed Dunn dinner chair, who inspire the rest of us with their passion for the cause.
Congratulations on another successful year and please support these great organizations in Hamilton, in partnership, with the CHML Children’s Fund.
I’m Scott Thompson.
