An early season showdown between the top two teams in the eastern conference, left the Bulldogs a little sore after losing 6-4 to the Sudbury Wolves.
Sudbury secured an early 2-0 lead before Bulldogs rookie Connor Roberts cut the lead to 2-1, bu the Wolves were quick to answer with a power-play goal.
The Wolves’ Dmitry Sokolov came out quick in the second, scoring back to back goals to give Sudbury a 5-1 lead.
The Bulldogs weren’t out just yet. Isaac Nurse scored to bring the score to 5-2 at the end of the second.
The comeback continued in the third. Matthew Strome and Trent Fox but the lead to 5-4, but the Wolves would score an empty-netter to solidify the win.
The loss snaps the Bulldogs 4 game winning streak.
Hamilton is looking for redemption tonight when they host the Wolves at the FirstOntario Centre at 7PM.
