A Canadian humanitarian worker is among three people missing after a small plane crash off the coast of the Dominican Republic.
Hamilton based organization ‘Live Different’ says long-time employee Benjamin Cole Brown was on board along with two Americans when the plane went down.
The group was returning from Haiti where they had been delivering aid and donations to local residents.
In a statement the Dominican civil aviation authority says the plane took off from Port-au-Prince on Monday, bound for Puerto Plata.
The single-engine aircraft reportedly lost contact with the control tower shortly after 6 p.m. when it was about six kilometers from its destination.
36 year old Brown has lived internationally for many years, but was raised in the Hamilton-area.
