Progressive Conservative Leader Patrick Brown denies he’s keeping a teen Tory candidate under wraps.
19 year old Sam Oosterhoff has been unavailable to the Queen’s Park media since stunning the Conservatives on Saturday by winning the nomination for the November by-election in Niagara West-Glanbrook.
On Sunday, Oosterhoff said in an email that he was “really busy,” but he promised to follow up on Monday.
The teen did not, and he has ignored requests for interviews every day this week.
Conservative sources tell the Toronto Star that Brown and his advisers have concerns Oosterhoff may say something in an interview to undermine the leader.
There are fears the home-schooled devout Christian will speak out against Premier Kathleen Wynne’s updated sex-education curriculum, same-sex marriage, or abortion rights.
