There’s another indication of the stress Hamilton hospitals are under.
The CBC reports the newest report from Health Quality Ontario shows Hamilton-area emergency rooms deal with more patients than anywhere else in the province.
The hospitals in the Hamilton LHIN include Niagara, Haldimand and Brant.
This latest study shows the ER’s saw 670,000 visits in the last fiscal year.
That’s 100,000 more than the nearest comparable area.
The report also indicates almost 72,000 people were admitted from the emergency room to the hospital, which is also the most in Ontario.
