The inquest into the police shooting of 19-year old Andreas Chinnery has led to the adoption of five recommendations.
The Hamilton Spectator is reporting that Hamilton Police have agreed to increase dispatch training to ensure clear information is relayed, make youth workers aware of police youth programs, educate young adults on the Crisis Outreach and Support Team (COAST), investigate use of officer lapel cameras, and use this case for police training.
Chinnery was shot inside his downtown apartment in 2011 after a confrontation with police.
The inquest heard that there could have been a psychotic episode brought on by daily marijuana use.
A total of eight recommendations were presented to police
