Capitol Punishment Debate Again???

It’s sometimes surprising the see what generates interest on the blog.
Take a minute and read the last few blogs and threads about capitol punishment.
It seems lots have an opinion on whether police killers should be put to death.
As I have said before, I don’t care to debate whether it is a deterrent or not. I don’t care.
I simply do not want a convicted first degree murderer out on the street again. Nor do I want to pay for him to sit in a cell for 20 years.
Remove them from the planet.
My only great concern?
Giving a government the power to take a life….
They can’t balance a budget so how can they balance justice?
So it’s back to square one.
Maybe ‘life’ in prison should mean ‘life’. Then we wouldn’t have these debates

Death Penalty Debate....

Here’s an interesting take on the recent death of an O.P.P. officer killed in the line of duty.
Our poll question of the day yesterday was, do we take the police for granted?
About 70% said yes and 30% said no…
Here’s another opinion.

I completely agree with you that the death penalty should apply to all scumball murderers -- not just cop killers. I can't tell you how pissed off I get by the opponents of the death penalty. These sanctimonious hypocrites oppose the death penalty for the murderers of other people's loved ones whom they neither knew nor care about! These opponents really disgust me. You should do a blog on whether people support bringing back the death penalty. Here are several justifications for the death penalty:

Here’s a cure for Olympic withdrawal

Did you find yourself walking around the house last week wondering what to do?
Were you wallowing in some sort of Olympic fever withdrawal?
Although catching up on sleep was nice after two weeks of 1a.m. nights, I found myself with a bad case of the Olympic blues.
Now I know there are those of you who think this way.
I don’t expect you to understand and I’m sure you think I am as sappy as maple syrup.
But there are lots of people around water coolers from here to Vancouver who are feeling the same way.
It reminds me of the Calgary Winter Olympics in 1988. I was lucky enough to be involved on a morning show at a radio station there from 1986-1989.
