It's over.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats wrapped up their 2008 season, losing 44-30 in Winnipeg over the weekend.
They finished the year at 3-and-15, the exact same record as last season.
We all expected more, didn't we?
The playoff guarantee for season-tickets next year was triggered long ago but will the fans return?
Many fans on the 5th Quarter and Bill Kelly Show have said they won't be back in 2009.
But that remains to be seen and may greatly depend on what the Cats accomplish in the off-season.
Will Nick Setta re-sign?... what about Jesse Lumsden, Ray Mariusz and Hamilton's other free agents?
The future of Casey Printers hangs in the balance -- and is Quinton Porter the real deal or a one-hit wonder?
For the Cats to challenge for a playoff spot for the 1st time since 2004, they must make improvements on the O-line and D-line especially.
Winning ...

Is this the way it's gonna end?
Have Tiger-Cats fans seen the last of Jesse Lumsden in a Ticats uniform?
Lumsden won't be in the lineup when the Ticats head to Saskatchewan on Sunday to face the defending champion Roughriders.
In fact, he'll miss the rest of the season after injuring his left shoulder and will once again need off-season surgery.
It's the 2nd straight year that he's been shut down for the season because of an injury.
Last season it was his left shoulder, and it's the same story this year, albeit Lumsden says it's not the exact same injury.
Whether you want to call him "injury prone" or whatever, the fact of the matter is Lumsden has never come close to completing a full CFL season.
And it's a shame, just like how knee injuries stole years off of Bobby Orr's legendary career and how concussions stunted Eric ...

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
Where to start?
Another game over the weekend, another embarrassing loss and another year of missing the playoffs.
They're 2-and-11, and while not mathematically eliminated from the post-season race in the CFL, stick a fork in them they're done like dinner.
Over-cooked, more like it.
Since the year 2000, Hamilton is 51-105-and-1, including 14-and-53 in the last 3 plus seasons.
That means half of the Ticats' losses in this decade have come in the last 3 plus years.
Desperate times call for desperate measures, it's time to clean house.
Owner Bob Young has to dissect this outfit from top to bottom, and fast.
Fold up the tent, seriously, fold it up.
Start from scratch, everyone is out, everyone, and bring in players, coaches and front office staff who are not only good and experienced but hungry to win and passionate about the game and this city.
No more ...

Kenton Keith has joined TigerTown.
But what Ticats fans are asking themselves is, does this spell the end of Jesse Lumsden in Hamilton?
Keith will reportedly earn between 145- to 170-thousand dollars a season and is expected to play this Saturday in B-C, on CHML and Y108.
Keith, who was released by the Colts during training camp in August, scored 29 touchdowns in 43 games with Saskatchewan before heading to Indy.
So with Lumsden's latest injury, and his impending free agent status this off-season, is the former McMaster star as good as gone?
Rumours have been spreading that suggest Lumsden will leave for Edmonton this coming winter.
I hate to say it but I think Toronto could be another option if he wants to stay close to home.
But think of this, why would the Cats give up on Lumsden just because he has a penchant for visiting the injured ...

A valiant effort... but close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats lost another nail biter over the weekend falling 38-33 in Edmonton.
Casey Printers ran for 125 yards but he was also picked off 4 times and fumbled at the end of the game as the Eskies secured the victory.
Ricky Ray threw for 355 yards but was also picked off 4 times, twice by Markeith Knowlton and twice by Geoff Tisdale, the latter returning 1 for a touchdown.
But in the end it was the same old story for the Tabbies, they couldn't close the door after taking a 33-31 lead with 2:06 to go in regulation.
Ray and the Eskimos marched down the field and Calvin McCarty scored on a 21-yard run to give Edmonton the lead with 59 seconds left, and ultimately the win.
Do you know what these Tiger-Cats need?
Yes, I know they need wins, a few ...
