A sketchy forecast could spark more fires in the province this long weekend.
"We're looking at a calling for hot but unsettled conditions all week, and everyday that we see these warm temperatures without some substantial rain we're just going to see that hazard continue to increase," says Anastasia Drummond, a wildlife information offcer with Alberta Sustainable Resource Development. "Now that we are heading to a long weekend we know that there's going to be a lot more people on the landscape, so we are looking at more fire starts unfortunately."

Drummond adds it's important to make sure you're fire is completely out if you're camping which can take multiple douses of water.

Anyone who sees a fire is urged to call 310-FIRE (3473). (rw, twd)
