An appeal is being filed in a cold case that was reopened a couple of years ago.
It was May of 2010 that Robert James Fletcher, 52, was charged with first degree murder, rape, kidnapping, and robbery, in the 1981 death of Gerdina Kruidbos, 33.
Fletcher was acquitted June 4, 2012, of all the charges against him, with the judge claiming there wasn't enough evidence to find him guilty.
It was early December of 1981 that Kruidbos was found dead in a taxi at 144th Avenue and 72nd Street.
There's no word on when the appeal with be heard. (lk)
