In October 2004, was elected to City Council, representing Ward 2, the downtown Hamilton ward.
Born and raised in Hamilton.
After leaving school, steelworker at Dofasco for two years.
Began career as radio broadcaster in 1965 in Stratford, Ontario.
Returned to Hamilton in 1966 CKOC, 1970 CHML, 1980 CHAM, 1982 CFRB, 1988 CKOC, 1989 CHML.
Tiger-Cats and Argonauts play-by-play broadcaster for 20 seasons, beginning in 1981.
Member of the football reporters of Canada Hall of Fame.
Paul Harris fellow, Hamilton Mountain Rotary Citizen of the Year.
Finalist, Hamilton Citizen of the Year.
Queen's Jubilee medal winner, 2003.
Sertoma Club Laura Secord award for preserving Hamilton history.
