A Wainfleet man is facing prosecution after two dogs were shot.
One died the other is recovering from wounds.
Niagara police went to the home on Priestman Road yesterday after a weapons complaint and found the dogs.
Police say the shooting was not accidental and the dogs -- German short-haired Pointers -- did not belong to the man.
Paul Flaag is facing one firearms offence and three charges related to the death and wounding of the dogs.
