The Fort Erie-bound lanes of the QEW remain closed in Niagara Falls --- after a bizarre accident involving a dump truck.
Provincial Police say the truck's raised box slammed into the Lundy's Lane overpass on Wednesday morning causing significant structural damage to the bridge.
A woman was airlifted to hospital, after her vehicle then slammed into the box which had broken off the truck and landed on the highway.
Her injuries are described as life-threatening.
Among the questions that police are trying to answer, is how long the dump truck had been travelling with the box in the raised position.
