Mayors across Ontario will be holding New Year's levees today.
Here in Hamilton, there will be two levees -- Mayor Bob Bratina will be hosting his meet and greet this afternoon from 1 to 3pm on the second floor of city Hall.
And the second annual Citizens’ New Years Levee is planned out front of City Hall from 1-4.
Organizers says citizens don't need the official blessing of municipal politicians to gather as a community.
The first citizens’ levee was held last year by a group wishing to continue the tradition after the official levee to be held by Mayor Bob Bratina was cancelled.
