The Hamilton public school board is in a wait and see stance.
It would like to get back to the local bargaining table with its teachers, but the board is not sure what the next step is going to be.
With the deadline for local agreements having expired and no indication yet, from the Education Minister about the imposition of a contract, the Hamilton Wentworth Disctrict school board can do nothing but wait.
Board Chair Tim Simmons says he can't predict what the Minister is going to do, but hopes there will be another chance for local collective bargaining.
Like the board, the public high school teachers' local is waiting to see what Laurel Broten intends to do.
OSSTF local president Chantal Mancini says if the government lifts the restrictions in Bill 115, she'd be happy to head back to local barganing.
