New Year's Eve was a busy one for Hamilton Police.
The city saw multiple stabbings, alcohol fuelled fights, family violence and multiple street level disturbances. In the 24 hours, between 7 pm December 31st and 7 pm January 1st, police responded to 418 calls.
There were 81 Priority 1 calls where there is a serious or imminent threat to life.
But the most crucial point for officers was the eight hours between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. where police responded to 333 of the 418 calls.
