Kenilworth closure on tap
Jay McQueen
1/4/2013

A heads up for motorists who normally use Kenilworth Avenue.

The southbound lanes of Kenilworth is closed as of 9 o'clock this morning in the area of King Street.

Officially -- it'll be closed one block north of King at Normandy and there will be local access only between Main and King.

Additionally, the southbound ramp from King to Kenilworth will also be closed.

Traffic and bus detours will be in place.

The closure is expected to last until about 8 o'clock tonight.

The city says it's necessary so that crews can repair the heavy duty netting on the underside of the King Street bridge.
