The last ditch effort by north Hamilton residents to get traffic to slow down on James Street North and Burlington Street East is over.
The Ontario Municipal Board has dismissed an appeal by Hamilton's north end neighbourhood association to slow traffic on the two major thoroughfares.
That is the last decision the city was waiting on before starting to implement the 2002 Setting Sail plan aimed at redeveloping the city's waterfront.
It includes a redevelopment of the west harbour lands, with a mixture of residential, commercial and recreational uses.
