When classes resume at Hamilton's public schools today there will be no extracurricular activities.
That from the chair of Hamilton's Public School Board Tim Simmons.
He says voluntary activities will remain on hold at the city's elementary and secondary schools.
In a newsletter sent out on Friday, President of the Ontario Elementary Teachers Federation Sam Hammond, urged his members to push the pause button on voluntary activities.
This comes after the province imposed a contract on teachers last week.
The high school teachers have been urged to withhold voluntary services, as well.
Public School Board Chair Tim Simmons says the union leadership is due to meet later this week and the board will be waiting till then to find out the next move.
