Hamilton has reason to be proud of the way we've recovered from the recession.
The Social Planning Council will release a report today that says the city has bounced back faster than our neighbours and is ready for even more growth.
The report says Hamilton's economic development strategy helped to attract enough new jobs and investment that our unemployment rate is much lower than the provincial average.
The report also outlines three ways to push Hamilton's economy forward, putting more money in the hands of the poorest workers, universal child care and attracting more immigrants to meet the shortage in skilled workers.
