The finalists for the Golden Horseshoe Athlete of the Year are out.
They are swimmer Summer Mortimer, soccer player Melissa Tancredi and hockey player Cory Conacher.
Mortimer, a 19-year-old from Ancaster, won four swimming medals at the London Paralympics, including two gold.
Tancredi, a 31-year-old Hamiltonian, helped the Canadian women's soccer team win the bronze medal at the London Olympics.
The 23-year-old Conacher, from Burlington, led the Norfolk Admirals to their first Calder Cup last season and was named the AHL's rookie of the year and MVP.
The winner will be named at the CYO Celebrity Dinner on February 28th at the Hamilton Convention Centre.
