A big investment for the Hamilton International Airport.
The federal and provincial governments, along with Tradeport International, are investing a total of 12-million dollars to build a new cargo facility at Munro Airport.
The 60-thousand quare foot so-called "cross-dock" will include multiple truck docks, refrigeration, a live animal centre, as well as cargo and courier handling facilities.
Construction will begin in late summer or early fall and is expected to be completed by the middle of next year.
Airport president and CEO Frank Scremin says the project is expected to create about 4-hundred direct and in-direct jobs.
