There's been a sharp decline in the number of Hamilton public school board students getting kicked out.
A staff report says 18 students were expelled in the 2011-2012 school year -- about half the number of the year before.
Some were kicked out for weapons related problems, others for drugs.
However, suspensions were up about one per cent.
The most common offense for a suspension - swearing.
