Idle No More protests in the area
CHML
1/16/2013

Idle No More protesters have taken their demonstration to Caledonia.

A stretch of Highway 6 at the Caledonia bypass had been shut down for a time, but reports say that is now clear, and the protestors have moved to Argyle Street where traffic is snarled.

OPP are on scene and there has been no action by police to remove the blockade.

Meantime, the eastbound lanes of Highway 420 at Stanley Avenue in Niagara Falls is now open after Idle No More Protestors took their march there.

In the eastern part of the province OPP say they are trying to open the lines of communication with several people who are blocking rail lines east of Belleville.   The protesters haven't yet been identified but the
blockade comes as many groups are participating in a national day of action in support of First Nations.

Via Rail says the blockade is affecting the movement of trains between Toronto-Montreal and Toronto-Ottawa in both directions and that passengers are being moved around the site by ground transportation.

Give them all a broom, at least they can do something constructive while they waste everyone else's time . Nothing but a bunch of freeloaders looking to stirr the pot!

That's enough, what does this protest even have to do with Caledonia. Haven't Caledonian's suffered enough with their BS!!??? Too much! They just want somewhere to protest close to home and most don't even know anymore what they are protesting!
