The Burlington Performing Arts Centre wants a million dollars for its 2013 operations.
First, there is the city's base contribution of almost 640 thousand dollars and now it needs to offest a revenue shortfall of about 225 thousand dollars.
The arts centre is also asking for almost 140 thousand dollars for two staff members.
The 41-million dollar facility opened in downtown Burlington in fall 2011, making last year its first full year of operation.
The arts centre is an arms length agency of the city with a board of directors and gets financial assistance from the municipality.
The request is part of the city’s 2013 budget deliberations.
