Hamilton Police continue to investigate the city's first traffic fatality of the year.
A 55 year old woman was killed after her car was hit at the intersection of Britannia and Paling Avenue yesterday just after 3 o'clock.
Investigators say a 27-year-old Hamilton man was traveling southbound on Paling when he crashed into the passenger side of a Pontiac Sunfire traveling westbound.
The Sunfire came to a rest on the lawn of a residential home on the southwest corner of the intersection.
Two passengers were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Meantime, a man was killed about 7:30 Thursday night on Highway 6 in Flamborough when a car and a tractor trailer hit head on.
OPP have identified the victim as a 26-year-old man from of Burlington.
The transport driver was not hurt.
It happened btween the Seventh Concession and Carlisle Road during the snowfall.
