A man is dead following an overnight altercation in Oakville.
Halton Regional Police were called to a residence on Ventura Drive just after 8 o'clock Friday night.
Two men had been involved in a dispute that ended with one of them unresponsive.
Efforts by emergency medical personnel to revive the 34-year old man were unsucessful and he was pronounced dead.
The other man was taken into police custody but later released pending further investigation by homicide officers.
