A bad weekend for would-be thieves in Hamilton's East End.
Police made three separate arrests over the weekend, starting with the arrest of a man Friday night at the Stop Bar on Barton East.
Police found him hunched down in the front seat of a car and when they asked if it was his car and he said no.
They found a big bottle of oxycodone pills prescribed to the owner of the vehicle.
Officers also found a wallet and burglary tools on the ground near the car.
On Saturday night, police were called by a man who found a thief in his car and they found items from that vehicle as well as others along the street.
Yesterday, plain clothes officers in the Gage and Barton area arrested a man on a bike who had alcohol on his breath and then found a pellet gun stuffed down his pants.
Police say he and another man were acting suspiciously around some parked cars in the area.
