An increase in hate related crime in Hamilton has prompted the federal government to provide the Adas Israel Congregation with a 32 thousand dollar security grant.
The money will be used for surveillance cameras, lighting and, possibly, fencing at the synagogue and school.
It comes from the Communities at Risk: Security Infrastructure Program.
Tory MP David Sweet says hate-motivated crimes have shaken our community over the past few years with an increase in anti-Semitic vandalism.
