The work of Hamilton's casino subcommittee is done.
It has been disbanded by City Council, and all gaming issues will now be discussed by the General Issues Committee as the city moves quickly towards a March.1st deadline.
The city has until that date to tell the OLG, if and where it wants a casino.
As that deadline draws near, Mayor Bratina says it's better that all related issues by debated by the full council.
Councillor Brian McHattie suggests "that should have been the case from the get-go".
The subcommittee's mandate included developing a process for gauging public opinion. That has included hosting two very well attended public forums.
