You'll have to wait till Monday.
That from Hamilton Public Works Committee Chair Lloyd Ferguson when
asked about the published report that at least 21 and as many as 32 roads
department workers will be fired following allegations of wrong doing.
Monday is when council will see the report into allegations of tampered
time sheets, city vehicles being taken for personal use and asphalt being
sold off the back of city trucks.
Ferguson hinted that whatever happens on Monday...it won't be the end
of the investigation. He says questions need to be asked of the supervisors
in the department.
Ferguson would neither confirm nor deny the report, but did say he was
disappointed it would be published before the employees in question learn
their fate.
