Winona remains not human
CBC
1/29/2013

Hamilton Police have now confirmed that bones found in a field near Winona are not that of a missing woman.

The bones were collected in November.

Forensic Sciences has confirmed they are not human.

Investigators had speculated they may be from 62 year old Shirley Treadwell who is believed to have died in 2009.

Treadwell's niece and caregiver, Melinda Evans, is charged with committing an indignity to a human body and fraud.

Police allege she disposed of her aunt's body and collected her disability cheques.
