Damage is estimated at 10 thousand dollars following a fire inside of a downtown highrise.
Crews were called to a 22 storey apartment building on Emerald Street North over the noon hour to deal with a working fire and smoke conditions on the 14th floor.
The cause is under investigation and Hamilton Police have secured the scene after calling in an investigator from the fire marshall's office.
No injuries are reported.
