Hamilton Firefighters had to use a high angle ROPE retrieval to get the body of an elderly man from Grindstone Creek in Waterdown.
The body was first spotted about 3 in the afternoon near Dundas Street East and Mill Street North.
That's not far from Waterdown Manor, a retirement residence with assisted living.
Hamilton Police say it was a sudden death and no foul play is suspected.
