It's going to cost you more dough to ride the GO.
An increase approved back in December takes effect today.
GO fares now vary by distance travelled.
It means a 35 cent increase on fares that were between $4.50 and $5.80, 45 cents on fares between $5.81 and $7.35, and 55 cents on fares greater than $7.35.
GO officials say the increase will help it make improvements such as more parking and more train and bus trips to meet increasing demand.
Increases for customers using the Presto electronic fare system will be less.
