Passenger threatens HSR driver over fare
Hamilton Spectator
2/4/2013

Hamilton police have charged a 44-year-old man after an HSR bus driver was allegedly threatened.

Police say the man got on the bus near Main Street East and Graham Street on Saturday morning and went straight to the back.

When the driver asked him to pay the fare, police say the man began yelling and pacing and threatened to kill the driver.

That's when the driver locked the doors and called police.

The man was arrested a short distance from the bus.

I believe that we are living in times when there can be anything happen to any one.
Actually I think taxis and public transportation's operators should be shielded from the public. They need to be put in a safe environments. There are to many people today who are not just angry but will take a knife and take the life of one right at the spot.
I would think that taxi and all the other public transportation jobs are just as risky as being a police in service. There were times when I would not make such statements but now days it is how it is. I hope they are thinking to re design buses and taxis for the future. Our society is as low as it can get. We need to protect those who serve the public and put their lifes at risk.
