A Hamilton police online crime map may soon become a reality.
City councillors have asked the police services board to investigate the crime-mapping program.
Hamilton police have committed to spending 250-thousand dollars on the initiative over the next two years.
Halton police recently launched a similar program, at a cost of 2-thousand dollars, that allows residents to look at what crimes have been reported in their neighbourhoods.
It shows everything from murders to assaults and car crashes.
