Now that Ivor Wynne Stadium has been completely demolished, workers on the site are now going underground.
Excavation and foundation work will begin this week.
Project manager Janet Warner told CHML's Matt Holmes Show last night, construction of Hamilton's new Pan Am Stadium is scheduled to begin this June.
It is slated to be completed by July 1, 2014.
Warner says the project is on schedule and on budget.
