It will be June before MetroLinx announces its strategy for paying for its 34-billion dollar transit plans through Hamilton and the GTA.
But the proposals are already raising a few eyebrows.
They've been outlined at a roundtable at the Art Gallery of Hamilton and include everything from higher property and fuel taxes to a new vehicle registration fee and highway tolls.
Another meeting is planned for February 16th at the Old Dundas Town Hall.
MetroLinx will present funding recommendations to the province by June 1st.
