A new area code is coming to town.
Joining 905 and 289 in the region will be 365. It will come into effect March 25th once there are no more 905 or 289 numbers left.
437 will be added to the 416 and 647 area codes in the Toronto area.
The Canadian Numbering Administrator says the new area code reflects the growing use of cellphones and other mobile devices.
Rest assured, those who already have the current area codes will keep them, but new lines or cellphones will get the new codes.
