An undercover drug operation by Halton Regional Police has led to the arrest of eight Burlington residents.
Police say that during the operation that began last month, undercover officers purchased cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana and illegal prescription drugs from several drug traffickers.
On Friday, members of the Integrated Drug, Gun and Gang Unit, Strategic Support Teams and the Tactical Response Unit executed three Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrants at residences in Burlington.
Police seized approximately three pounds of pot, 14 grams of cocaine and Canadian currency.
Three people under the age of 18 are charged with trafficking a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
Also charged:
Brian NAPPER (34 years) - trafficking a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance and breach of probation.
Robert LODER (31 years) - trafficking a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled substance.
Melanie DALEJA (32 years) - possession of a controlled substance.
Grant KENNEDY (19 years) - possession of a controlled substance.
Andrew MORETUZO (19 years) - possession of a controlled substance.
Another person under the age of 18 is still being sought.
