When Hamilton's General Issues Committee meets next Monday it will have three options to consider regarding rapid transit.
The city's transportation division has come up with the options.
A key recommendation is to send a package of information to the province that includes planning for light-rail transit, increased city bus ridership or advancing on both fronts.
That way whatever the eventual plan is, Hamilton is ready.
The city's transportation director, Don Hull, says it will give council options on how much time and money it is willing to spend on transportation in comparison to its other priorities, such as social housing.
