Another round of layoffs at HECFI.
12 employees got their notices this week from Hamilton Entertainment and Convention Facilities Incorporated.
That is in addition to the 16 who got word in December their jobs would be gone.
It's part of the transition of power from the agency to the new managers with Global Spectrum running Hamilton Place and Copps and Carmen's Group running the Convention Centre.
The 28 employees affected by both rounds of cuts will leave over the next few weeks.
Part of the privatization agreement requires existing collective agreements be honoured.
As a result, any unionized HECFI employees will keep their jobs.
