It's going to cost Hamilton about two million dollars to buy up the infamous City Motor Hotel.
Council voted last year to expropriate the property at the Queenston Traffic Circle.
The city will pay almost two million dollars for the property to a group of parties with interests in the hotel.
The money will come from Councillor Sam Merulla's special area rating budget.
The City Motor Hotel has been a hotbed of crime including prostitution and drug use for years and Hamilton wants to level the structure to make way for a transit hub along with residential and commerical development.
