Symposium addresses precarious labourers
CHML
2/25/2013

They're being called "precarious labourers" -- workers who are becoming trapped in jobs that aren't stable or secure.

A new study suggests there's a growing number of these workers in Hamilton and Toronto.

The study says they must deal with stressful issues like fluctuating weekly incomes and work schedules that change with little notice.

An expert panel will discuss the findings today at a symposium in Toronto.

Five years ago it was said that is how the work place will be. Short term and low pay.
It is like the 60' were then also people were lucky for finding any kinds of jobs for a lower pay and short term. Then came the good life of of 70' when there were lots of openings. That was a reason that employers kept workers especially good workers
with all kinds of benefits. It is all depend on the labor market. We now are having a shrinking economy and the growing work force. It will be like this for a very long times.
