Foul play has been ruled out in the death of a Hamilton man after a fire broke out in a house on Cannon Street East.
An autopsy has concluded the 24 year old, identified by friends as Leo Aguilar, died from smoke inhalation and injuries related to the fire last Wednesday.
Police say those injuries, which were initally deemed as suspicious, came from rescue measures and did not contribute to his death.
Officials say the fire originated inside of the victim's bedroom. The actual cause of the fire is still being investigated by the Ontario Fire Marshall.
