We wont' be hearing as much from the City's Integrity Commissioner in the future.
Earl Basse says going forward, his investigations will be under wraps.
He says he misinterpreted the Municipal Act and now feels that on going investigations of council members should not be made public until they are completed.
That means the public will only find out whether elected representatives are being investigated if the councillor or complainant comes forward, or during Basse’s annual report to council.
Basse made the decision on his own and councillors are split as to whether that was appropriate.
He has yet to present his 2012 Integrity report.
