Halton police are investigating a wild crash involving stampeding horses.
Officers were called just before midnight Thursday night to Tremaine Road in Milton where 8 horses escaped a fenced area of a farm.
Police say two of the horses died after running into a vehicle that had pulled over to the side of the road.
Officers tried to block the road to prevent the horses from running into other vehicles and keep them away from nearby train tracks.
But two of the horses jumped over the vehicles, and one of them crashed into the back window of a car.
There was significant damage to a police car and another vehicle.
A third horse may have to be put down due to its injuries.
