Here's the latest in the ongoing saga of Police Services Act proceedings against a Hamilton Inspector.
David Doel has been suspended with pay since 2009 on 14 misconduct charges, including having sex on duty and having porn on his work computer.
However, the proceedings have been dragging because of numerous procedural challenges that have been issued by Doel and his lawyer.
The latest, an appeal to have the hearing officer tossed out over perceived bias, was tossed out just yesterday.
The next scheduled hearing date is not until November 25th because that was the first date Doel's lawyer was available.
Doel made 140-thousand dollars last year.
