More information is expected later today from Hamilton police in a crackdown on synthetic marijuana.
Hamilton police executed a search warrant at the Toronto home of the father of Adam Wookey, the man who owns the company called IZMS.
That is the synthetic marijuana brand being sold at sex shops, convenience stores and head shops under the guize that it is legal.
So far, Hamilton police have not said much about last week's raid and have not said why they are leading the investigation or what the Hamilton connection is.
In January, a sex shop in the city was held up and the robber was only looking to get IZMS
Since then, police forces across the province have launched an education campaign to educate store owners about the realities of the drug.
